We were doing great with it for seeing other dogs and didn't want to use for other bad behaviour as I think the more you use it the more they will get used to it but her pulling got worse, she walks lovely on the way home but going anywhere utter nightmare basically over excited, we leave house making sure she is calm, get to the gate all is calm then pull, pull, pull, cry, cry like a child having a tantrum until we stop to play, so now we decided to use the beeper and again wish we had this months ago we do have to use the vibrate option but it works wonders walks besides us every time and when pulls we vibrate and she slows down, You must remember to praise her when they don't react to something they used to I think this helps them feel less threatened. Of course you will get something jump out at you and she will go crazy so it comes in handy but because it startles her can be less successful so a vibrate usually stops it. She was nervous of lots of things like bags, kids, birds and cats but again we use the noise option and it snaps her out of doing it she is much calmer now we still use it and now if we say beeper she knows to behave so although wearing it not actually using it. It hasn't fixed her but helped her more than we ever thought possible dogs that are reactive are hard work and to be able to pass dogs on the same side of the road without a reaction or slight fur being raised is a fix enough for us. Each time soon as she saw a dog and looked ready to bark a quick beep is all it took never used the vibrate option. Our first outing with it on was like all our dreams came true, we approached a dog on the opposite side of the road normally she would already be lunging, barking acting nuts but one press of the sound button as soon as she saw the other dog shocked her so much it went by without her thinking about it again, we instantly thought it can't of worked that quick so decided to look for more dogs which is totally what we avoided for the past year and half. Of course we tried on ourselves first to be sure and knew it would be fine. We didn't want to hurt her in anyway and really didn't like the thought of using an electric type so was delighted to find this as it only vibrates and makes a noise. Bought this as we were desperate for a solution to help us walk our reactive German shepherd, we attended 3 different training classes and had a behaviourist to see if they could help but not one managed to sort her behaviour with other dogs or pulling on the lead due to over excitement until we purchased this collar.
